Stephanie Bakker will be coordinating the FoodWIse program for Ashland, Bayfield, and Iron Counties. She replaces Gina Monroe, who recently started working at the School District of Bayfield.
Stephanie graduated from Bayfield High School, received her Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire, majored in Kinesiology, minored in Psychology, and received a certificate in Coaching. Stephanie comes into her new role after being a Nutrition Educator for Ashland, Bayfield, and Iron Counties for the past four years. She was also the Bayfield Elementary head wrestling coach during the same time frame and continues now with volunteering her time between the elementary, middle school, and high school wrestling programs.
Stephanie is excited to continue to work in these counties. Working to advance proper eating habits, active lifestyles, and a healthy community environment for low-income families. Achieving these goals through nutrition education at the individual, community, and systems levels.
Stephanie enjoys exploring the Lake Superior area, gardening, cooking, and spending time with her husband, dog, and family.
