NICER Earth Day Community Clean Up

Do you want to find a way to make a difference in celebration of Earth Day 2021? Extension Iron County is partnering with local nonprofit, NICER (Northern Iron County Engaged Residents) on a community clean up event in celebration of Earth Day!

Take pride in your community and help clean up litter on streets and sidewalks in your neighborhoods or any other locations around town. Don’t worry if you’re not able to fill a whole bag of trash, any little bit makes a difference. Small acts, when multiped by millions of people, can transform the world!

Who can participate in this event? EVERYONE!

  • Families and friends who want to take part in a local community beautification while connecting with nature while getting some exercise too!

  • Businesses and Community Organizations who want to have their staff, coworkers or team participate in a safe, outdoor team-building activity that helps the environment and community. What a better way to help improve the area outside of your business or organization!

  • Schools who want to encourage their staff and students to take part in a community clean up that can used as a class project and also allows them to earn volunteer hours (such as students participating in National Honor Society).
