As families are gearing up for the end of the school year, Extension Iron County and Iron County 4-H would like to like share three Day Camp opportunities for youth in the community to participate in. June 2022 will be packed with fun, as our Summer Assistants, Jackie and Emmie will be taking the lead on TrailBlazers, STEM Day Camp and a Babysitters Training!

TrailBlazers

What is SET TrailBlazers? BIKING, FISHING, SWIMMING, SIGHT-SEEING, HIKING, GEOCACHING, AND MORE!

REGISTRATION LIMIT: 15 Iron County youth, grades 6-8.
SET TrailBlazers is available to Iron County youth, grades 6-8. There are only 15 spaces available this year be be sure to register early! No bike? No problem. We have bikes available for members who don’t own one, so don’t let that stop you from participating.

STEM Day Camp
UPDATE 6/6/22: STEM CAMP REGISTRATION IS NOW CLOSED.
STEM Day Camp is a program designed to introduce youth, grades 3-6, to the wonders of technology and science! They will learn how to program robots to navigate courses, generate energy out of the elements to power batteries, and explore the complex world of 3-D printing and chemistry. Their experiences at STEM Day Camp will allow them to be curious and inventive with technology, while also developing their personal, social, and teamwork skills.

Babysitter Training
The Babysitter Training is a 2022 summer program designed to introduce youth, ages 11+, into the world of babysitting. They will learn how to properly take care of children of all different ages. They will also learn how to address and handle situations in a proper way. Participants will become certified in CPR and first aid and listen to guest speakers from the local fire and police department, and more! They will go home with new recipes, new games, and a new understanding of how to balance fun and responsibility. Please send a water bottle with your child. Lunch will be provided.
