2019 Annual Report to the Iron County Board of Supervisors

We are excited to share our 2019 Annual Report to the Iron County Board of Supervisors with you! This report features the impactful programming conducted in 2019 by the Extension Iron County office, from all of our major educational programs in Community Resource Development, 4-H Youth Development, Family Living, Nutrition Education, and  Agriculture/Horticulture.

Zoom – Connecting Colleagues and Continuing Programming During the COVID-19 Crisis

The Extension Iron County educators and staff have been adjusting to working remotely during the COVID-19 crisis. Thanks to video conferencing tools, like Zoom, they are able to meet and work together productively “face-to-face” when meeting in-person isn’t possible. Another positive is that they are able to use Zoom to continue programming and outreach in the community. To learn more, continue reading.

Camp Staff Applications Due – February 28, 2020

Iron County Summer Youth Camp will take place July 13-17 this year. All potential staff must complete the application page, submit a resume and cover letter and have two non-family members complete the reference forms. The deadline for the applications is set for Friday, February 28, 2020.

Hygge Hike – FREE Community Snowshoe Hike

NICER-Northern Iron County Engaged Residents, Extension Iron County, Hurley Area Chamber and community volunteers are organizing the 2nd annual Hygge [Hoo-ga] Hike! This family friendly snow shoe hike also includes a chili cook off. Mark your calendars for Saturday, February 29!
