We are excited to announce that Iron County Summer Youth Camp 2021 is a go! However, due to current COVID-19 restrictions and guidelines set by the CDC, American Camping Association and Wisconsin 4-H, WE ONLY HAVE SPACE FOR 45 CAMPERS (50% CAPACITY), currently enrolled in grades 3-5. SISU Endurance Team Running Club Registration is Open!

The SISU Endurance Team (SET) Running Club is starting it’s third season on Monday, June 7 from 6:00-7:00 pm at Miner’s Memorial Park. The SET Running Club is open to youth grades 5-12. Cost is $10 per person and includes a t-shirt. Pre-registration required!

Local Support Makes Camp Programs Possible

We couldn’t offer our summer camp experiences for our area youth without community support. The donations we have received this year are very much appreciated and will be used to enhance the camp experience for our youth. As we work our way through the pandemic and get a better understanding of what our summer programs will look like, it is always great to see the continued support of our youth.

SISU Endurance Team XC Ski Club Registration NOW OPEN!

This program is available to Iron and Gogebic County youth grades K-12. The goal is to encourage kids to participate in a fun winter sport that they will be able to enjoy for a lifetime. All ability levels are welcome and cost is $40 (with a $10 discount for each additional family member. The club will meet at ABR Ski Trails on Sundays, January 3 – February 28 from 2:00-3:30 pm.

Extension Iron County Committee Update

With much of the Extension Iron County programming being affected by COVID-19, the decision was made to put the July Iron County Extension Education Committee meeting on hold. Instead, the educators and staff decided to create 2 newsletters to let committee members know that even though the world is in the midst of a pandemic, they continue to work on some great projects and programs this summer.
