The club meets at ABR Ski Trails on Sundays starting in January. This 8-week program is open to all ability levels. The program cost is $40, with a $10 discount for each additional child (for families with more than one child).
No equipment? No problem. Thanks in part to a grant received from the Gogebic Range United Way, Iron County 4-H has a great ski check out program where club members can check equipment out to use for the whole winter. This is a great opportunity for area youth who may be interested in xc skiing but don’t have equipment to use. It also allows youth to explore other great trail systems in our area with their families, such as MECCA, Uller and Montreal Historical Ski Trails. In the even that the ski inventory is checked out or we run out of sizes, rentals are also available at ABR each week, for youth members who may not have their own equipment.
Club members are also welcomed to join us for Wolverine Wednesdays, which will take place at Wolverine Ski Trails. We ask that members arrive at least 15 minutes early to ensure they are ready to ski at the start time. Any youth grades 2 and under, parents must accompany (Wednesdays only).
Please be sure to follow the SISU Endurance Team Facebook page for more details regarding upcoming program dates for the next ski season.
