SUMMER FUN AT IRON COUNTY OUTPOST CAMP
IRON COUNTY OUTPOST CAMP
Date: Tuesday-Friday, July 8-11, 2025
Location: Lake of the Falls Campground, Mercer, WI
Age: Youth, grades 6-8 (2024-2025 school year)
We are excited to announce that registration for the 10th annual Iron County Outpost Camp is open! This 4-day camp experience at the beautiful Lake of the Falls campground includes biking, hiking, canoeing, and leadership building activities. Each year, our campers also participate in a fun adventure challenge (past challenges include hiking in the Porcupine Mountains, canoeing, or whitewater rafting)!
The cost is $150 per camper, which covers supplies and meals. A limited number of $50 camperships will be awarded on a first come basis. Camperships are need based (anyone requesting a campership must qualify for free or reduced lunch). There is space for 15 campers this year!
Completing the pre-registration form (link above) is the first step in reserving a space for your child. PLEASE BE AWARE THAT RESERVATIONS WILL APPLY TO THE FIRST 15 CAMPERS PRE-REGISTERED SO WE RECOMMEND REGISTERING EARLY! Completing this form does not guarantee a reserved space for your child. We will be contacting all parents to let them know if their child will be able to attend camp and anyone over the limit will be contacted and given an option to be added to a cancelation list. Further registration instructions and payment information will be sent to parents in coming weeks.
If you have questions regarding registration, please contact Extension Iron County Office Manager, Rebecca Holm at rebecca.holm@wisc.edu or 715-561-2695. All other camp related questions can be directed to 4-H Youth Development Educator, Neil Klemme at neil.klemme@wisc.edu or 715-561-2695.
