SET XC Ski Club Registration is OPEN!

Join the SISU Endurance Team XC Ski Club for another season of fun!

This 8-week program is available to Iron and Gogebic County youth, grades K-12 and takes place on Sunday, January 12 – March 2, 2024. The goal is to encourage youth to participate in a fun, silent sport that they will be able to enjoy for a lifetime.

The SISU Endurance Team offers a SET XC Ski Club program on Sundays, open to all ability levels. There is also an additional SET XC Ski Club Race Team program, for members who are interested in exploring the world of competitive racing. See boxes below for program details and SET XC Ski Club’s ski equipment program.

Interested in volunteering as a SET XC Ski Club coach? We are always looking for new volunteers to join our team. If you enjoy working with youth, are an intermediate/experienced skier, and would like to volunteer with our group, please reach out to 4-H Youth Development Educator, Neil KIemme at 715-561-2695 or neil.klemme@wisc.edu.

SKI EQUIPMENT AVAILABLE

No equipment? No problem. Iron County 4-H has a great ski check out program where club members can check equipment out to use for the whole winter. This is a great opportunity for area youth who may be interested in xc skiing but don’t have equipment to use.

In the event that the ski inventory is checked out or we run out of sizes, rentals are also available at ABR each week, for youth members who may not have their own equipment.

Ski equipment is checked out to families who enroll their children on a first come, first served basis. Be sure to enroll your child asap if you are interested in checking out ski equipment.

Parents will be contacted at a later date to set up a time/date to pick up ski equipment.
